Peer mentoring

Lead mentors

Take on an important role within the Peer Mentoring Program, as a ‘mentor to the mentors.’ You will support mentees indirectly, coordinate activities, provide guidance to mentors, and help ensure the program runs smoothly.

Benefits

  • Collaborate with university staff as a recognised leader in your faculty/school.
  • Make a lasting impact on students and enhance the university community.
  • Enhance leadership, presentation, and coordination skills through advanced training and experience.
  • Attend an exclusive mentor ‘Thank You’ event.
  • Earn up to 30 PEP hours (Engineering only).
Mentoring is a fulfilling way to improve the experience of the first years you mentor and your own experience at university. As a Mentor, I have been involved in university life in a hands-on way, being a part of implementing activities like Welcome Day and Ther-A-Paws.
