Student ambassador program
Student ambassadors represent and promote the University to the wider community.
Student ambassadors are current students who are passionate to share their degree and university knowledge at recruitment activities with high school students, parents and teachers. Our ambassadors are the face of our programs, with a strong belief in the value of higher education and represent the University enthusiastically and professionally. A key focus of student ambassadors is to increase participation of students from traditionally underrepresented cohorts.
What ambassadors do

- share their lived experience as a university student to demystify concepts of higher education
- learn and maintain a solid understanding of university degrees, programs, pathways and admission criteria
- facilitate discussions with high school students about their aspirations, how to achieve them and increase their knowledge about degree options
Benefits of becoming a student ambassador
- work flexible hours - student ambassadors will need to be available and commit to large events such as Open Day and Info Day
- meet new people
- learn new skills, develop graduate qualities and improve success in post-university careers
- the role of student ambassador is a paid position (the current hourly rate is $41.44 per hour).
