Student cards

Applying for a replacement card

You need to keep your student card with you at all times on campus. Your student card’s internal mechanism can be damaged if the card is cracked, bent or exposed to heat, so be sure to take care of it throughout your studies.

If your card is lost, stolen or damaged, you can apply for a replacement online or in person at the Student Centre.

You’ll need to pay a $25 administrative fee and bring photo identification to collect your new student card from the Student Centre. Please note, the Student Centre only takes payment by credit or debit card.

There is no fee to replace your student card for a change of name.

If you lose your Concession Opal card, contact Opal Customer Care on 13 67 25 (13 OPAL) to report it immediately and order a replacement.

Your existing SydPay account will be linked to your new card when it’s issued, so you don’t need to transfer funds.
