Degree Help Pop Up

A space for new students to get help building your degree

If you're a new student studying a degree in Arts, Business or Science, visit our temporary pop-up zone to receive help creating the course that works best for you.

Picking your Units of Study is an important, but sometimes a confusing process, especially when you are new. If you’re feeling a bit confused when you see words like ‘program’ and ‘course’, or not quite sure about majors and minors - you’re not alone!

If you’re joining the University in Semester 2 to study a degree in Arts and Social Sciences, Business or Science; visiting the Degree Help pop up is a great way to gain a basic understanding about planning your degree and choosing your Units of Study.

  • Understand why it is important to plan out your whole degree when enrolling, and find some tools to help.
  • Talk through the process with a student from your Faculty who has been through the process themselves
  • Use our self-help stations to get started on your decision-making with peers available to offer guidance on the spot.

At the Pop Up you can have a friendly chat with one of our Student Ambassadors. As fellow students, they have been through this before and are ready to answer some of the basic questions about course planning and point you towards the resources you need to help make your choices.

You can visit the Degree Help Pop Up at the Carslaw West Learning Hub at any time until the census date. To help find us, look out for the arrows and signs saying 'Degree Help?'
