25 August 2021
For innovative new project ideas that will resonate with students
The Student Co-curricular Grants Funding Program provides funding and support for students to create innovative new co-curricular projects that build a sense of community and enable graduate qualities development.

You can apply as an individual student or a group of students to access up to $2,000 AUD of funding and development support for project ideas in the areas of social activities and mentoring, professional development, community contribution and academic research.

What type of projects can the grant fund?

Any idea for a co-curricular activity that will positively impact a diverse cohort of students will be considered. Some ideas include: a trivia night, group dinner, employer networking event, skills-building workshop, case study competition, writing competition, art exhibition, student debate, podcast, video, student-led conference, book club, 1-minute thesis competition, mental health initiative or community volunteering. Feel free to get creative with your project ideas, as long as it will benefit fellow students.

What are the benefits?

You'll be recognised as a student leader among our student cohort while getting the opportunity to build your own skills, network with other students and make an impact in our community. Students involved in the program will be responsible for project design, project implementation, financial acquittal, and project reporting.

You’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills in project management, budgeting and reporting, while being supported by the Student Life team with up to $2,000 in funding to achieve your project. Not only will you be providing a positive experience for your fellow students, you’ll also gain a wealth of experience and skills to add to your CV.
