The roundtable will begin with remarks from Professor Duncan McCargo, who will present an overview of political trends and emerging patterns in the region.

Each of our country-specialists will speak for 20 minutes, allowing 10 minutes for audience questions, debate and discussion. Each of our experts has been instructed to pitch their talk to an interested, but not necessarily academic, audience so the talks can be enjoyed by a diverse audience. Come for one, stay for all!

Our event will wrap-up with comments from Dr Nicole Curato, who will reflect on the day’s proceedings and give the audience some key take-away messages from the day.
