A conference for postgraduate students and early career researchers

The SSEAC Research Conference provides a forum to bring together expertise on Southeast Asia from the postgraduate and early career researchers community.

Who: HDR students and ECRs who are researching Southeast Asia
When: 9am-4pm Monday 24 June 2019
Where: Lecture Theatres 2090 and 2140, Abercrombie Business School

The SSEAC Research Conference is an opportunity for postgraduates and early career researchers working on Southeast Asia-related topics to present their research in preparation for upcoming conferences. It’s also a chance for academics, practitioners and the wider community to engage with the next generation of Southeast Asia research excellence.

The conference is multidisciplinary, with sessions organised across SSEAC’s five areas of research strength to go beyond disciplinary boundaries.

This conference is open to the public. The final session, following afternoon tea, is open only to participants.

Call for papers is now open

To present at the conference, please submit your paper abstract (no longer than 300 words) on the link below by 11.30pm (AEST) Monday 27 May 2019.

Attendance is open to the public.

Participants must be available to attend the SSEAC public speaking workshop on 12 June 2019.
