This unit of study will expose students to practical challenges relating to the use of the French language as a vehicle for the translation of arts and culture to and from the Francophone world. Through the examination of authentic cultural materials, students will deepen their understanding of the French language and its idiosyncrasies. Engaging with external partners, such as the Chau Chak Wing Museum, or key stakeholders of the French and Francophone community in Australia, students will apply their skills to address real-world challenges involving the use, the presentation and understanding of the French language.
