2023 unit information
Improvised Ensemble 4 is a weekly group improvisation session, where the techniques of Improvised Music 4 are implemented practically in an improvising music ensemble. In this 2 hour weekly class, an ensemble is creatively formed with the objectives to perform and record new improvised music as a band.

At the completion of this unit, you should be able to:
- LO1. Improvise in solo, duo, trio and large ensemble formats.
- LO2. Create processes for improvisation using clearly defined material, structures and locations.
- LO3. Lead and direct an improvising ensemble
- LO4. Work as an active participant in a collaborative, group-based creative process.
