An initiative put in place by the Faculty in 2009, is the provision of a ‘postgraduate portfolio’, which is a convenient reference source for postgraduate research matters. In the early stages of your research studies this portfolio provides information about the administrative resources and facilities available for you, and also provides some broad guidelines on the development of your research project, thesis writing and oral presentations. As you progress through your postgraduate studies you will be supplied with material to add to your portfolio, to assist you in achieving a smooth successful outcome with your postgraduate studies. More importantly, the portfolio becomes a means for you to; record your attendance at various training sessions and workshops, your journal publications, and your presentations at local and international conferences - all of which will become invaluable when preparing your CV in the future.
You can download up-to-date versions of Sections 1, 2 & 3 of the Postgraduate Portfolio here. If you have not received a copy of your research portfolio please contact Ms Fiona Lawrence, (8627 1002 or ).
The portfolio should be read in conjunction with the Postgraduate Coursework Studies Handbook and Postgraduate Research Studies Handbook of the University, and the Faculty of Agriculture and Environment Handbook.
