Interdisciplinary Workshop to Focus on Inclusive Growth in China and India

The University of Sydney's School of Economics, in association with The China Studies Centre and The South Asian Studies Group, are hosting a workshop entitled "Inclusive growth in China & India: Role of institution building and governance" on 28 October.

The cross-disciplinary event will focus on the social implications of economic growth in both countries. The workshop will feature talks from a number of University of Sydney faculty members, including Dr Minglu Chen and Visiting Professor Pippa Norris of the Department of Government and International Studies.

Prof Norris - who is visiting the department this year from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University - will be delivering the day's keynote address, entitled "Making Democratic-Governance Work: The Consequences for Prosperity". Her presentation is scheduled for 3:45pm at the Darlington Centre Boardroom, and will be open to the public.
