Sadik Hasan is an international student from Bangladesh. After obtaining the Master of Social Science (MSS) degree in Public Administration with Honours from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, he received the Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from the University of Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Since October 2001 he is serving as an Assistant Professor of Public Administration at the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh.
His writings have appeared in scholarly international and national journals like International Social Science Review, Administrative Change, Social Science Review, etc. He authored a book titled Women in Bangladesh Local Government: A Study of Gram Sarkar (Dhaka: A H Development Publishing House, 2007) and also contributed a chapter to Development Studies, Volume 1 edited by Dr. Prasenjit Maiti (New Delhi: Atlantic Publishers & Distributors Ltd., 2007).

The study focuses on the impact of e-government on the relationship between government and citizens in Bangladesh. The research will analyse the website content of a sample of government agencies and the responses of citizens who use the Internet. The purpose is to identify the changes, if any, which the system of government has had on the relationship between government and citizens. The research will address issues of accountability, transparency, service delivery, trust in government and empowerment. |
