Description
This unit will offer a broad overview of key contemporary issues in environmental politics such as climate change policy, environmental justice, food security and politics, sustainable cities, or timely issues in the Australian or global context. The goal will be to ground these issues in the relevant literatures of politics and environmental studies.
Assessments
10x100wd reading reflections (10%), 1x2000wd research paper (40%), 1x 750wd mid-semester take home exam (20%), 1x750wd end-semester take home exam (20%) and tutorial participation (10%)
Classes
1 x 2hr lecture/week plus 1 x 1hr tutorial/week
Prerequisites
12 junior credit points of Government and International Relations
