Program

Nursery book area

Boundary Lane has developed learning programs for both the Nursery and [[b|Kindergarten]], targeting each age group and their specific requirements.

Both programs centre around the learning environments, both indoor and outdoor, and encourage children to explore, imagine, experiment, question and observe! Children are offered a range of experiences including

  • Sand & Water play (in our sandpits, and separately provisioned activities)
  • Dramatic and imaginative play (with a range of child-led scenarios including “shops”, “restaurants”, “airports”, “dress ups” and “camping”, for example)
  • Painting (on a variety of surfaces)
  • Playdough
  • Craft
  • Construction (with many different materials)
  • Puzzles

We also hold separate ‘Group Times’ every morning in each age group (Nursery, K1, K2 and K3). These Group Times follow the children’s current interests and primarily involve the development of language and social skills via stories, music and group discussions.
The centre programs encompass all the learning experiences and routines that occur at the centre throughout the day (such as meal and rest times), and is designed to encourage development in the following areas:
