Business Dean's Scholarship for Academic Excellence

Our postgraduate coursework programs have been tailored to create a competitive environment and enable students to perform at their best. Accordingly, the Business School has established a scholarship intended to promote student engagement and recognise exceptional academic performance by continuing postgraduate coursework students.

The Business School is pleased to offer the 'Business Dean's Scholarship for Academic Excellence'. Up to six scholarships will be awarded each semester to top ranking students based on their academic performance. No application is required.

The scholarship is valued at the cost of tuition fees over two standard units of study.

Canon Honours Scholarship

Established in 2002 by a donation from Canon Australia, Canon has a strong commitment to the academic development of Australia's youth and as one of the world's most recognised brands are particularly interested in encouraging outstanding academic endeavour in Marketing.

The scholarship valued at $6000 will be offered to a student undertaking Marketing Honours in 2014. The recipient is selected annually by the Discipline of Marketing. No application is required.

CEMS Exchange Travel Scholarships

The University of Sydney Business School is pleased to offer financial assistance to Master of Management (CEMS) students participating on exchange to a recognised CEMS Partner University.

The scholarships valued at $2000 will be offered to students participating on exchange for their first semester on exchange as part of the Master of Management (CEMS) degree. Up to 5 scholarships are available each year. Two scholarships will be offered in semester 1 and two scholarships will be offered in semester 2. Depending on the calibre of the eligible group, scholarship places may vary. An additional place may be offered at the Program Director's discretion.

No application is necessary. Students will be assessed automatically based on academic merit determined by their Weighted Average Mark in the first semester of their Master of Management (CEMS) degree.

Dean's Scholarship for Remote and Rural Enterprise

The University of Sydney Business School is pleased to offer support and some financial assistance for student participation in the Remote and Rural Enterprise (RARE) program.

The Dean's Scholarship for Remote and Rural Enterprise is valued at $2000.
Up to four places will be awarded in 2014.

The scholarship is open to local and international, postgraduate coursework students who have been selected for a place in The RARE Program. The scholarship recognizes candidates with sound academic performances in the Business School, who can also demonstrate an aptitude for cultural awareness, community development and sustainability and entrepreneurial capabilities.

About RARE

Engaging with Remote and Rural Enterprise (RARE) is the focus of this program, ensuring the University's entrepreneurial activity benefits some of our more challenged communities and businesses.

RARE creates two-way learning and development exchanges between graduate students and enterprises in remote and rural Australia.

Gilles Kryger Honours Scholarship in Finance

The University of Sydney Business School is pleased to present a scholarship opportunity for undergraduate students intending to pursue an honours year within the Discipline of Finance.

The scholarship, established in 2006 from a generous donation from the alumnus, Mr. Gilles Kryger and the Business School is titled 'The Gilles Kryger Honours Scholarship in Finance' and is open to both local and international students commencing undergraduate honours in Finance in 2014. The scholarship is valued at $15,000, tenable for one year, in the recipient's honours year.

The University of Sydney Business School will award the scholarship based on academic merit in the students finance specialization. Selection will be made by academic staff within the Discipline of Finance at the discretion of the Chair of Discipline.

International Business Scholarship in Honours

A scholarship opportunity is available in 2014 for local and international students intending to enrol in undergraduate honours in International Business.

Applicants for the International Business Scholarship in Honours will be selected by the Discipline of International Business based on most proficient performance in coursework, examination results and by formal application detailing their thesis proposal.

Funded by the Discipline of International Business up to four scholarships are available each year. The scholarships are valued at $6,000 each and tenable for one year, the recipient's honours year.

Investec Scholarship for Most Outstanding All-Round Student

Awarded to a final year student (Pass or Honours) who is enrolled in the Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Commerce (Liberal Studies) or Bachelor of Commerce combined degree program (under the administration of the University of Sydney Business School), with a major in Accounting, Finance, or Economics for outstanding academic achievement as well as excellence in an area such as sport, music, art, performance, literature, community service or community leadership.

Phillip Noel Hartley Smith Distinguished Honours Scholarship

The Business School is offering a scholarship opportunity to undergraduate students commencing honours with the University of Sydney Business School in 2014.

The Phillip Noel Hartley Smith Distinguished Honours Scholarship is awarded on application and academic merit with a dissertation topic that focuses on 'business ethics' or 'business history'.

The scholarship is valued at $6,000 per annum and is tenable for one year.

R.J. Chambers Honours Scholarship in Accounting

The R.J. Chambers Honours Scholarship was established in 2003 by an offer of an annual donation from the Accounting Foundation and the Discipline of Accounting for the purpose of providing financial assistance to students undertaking the Honours Program within the Discipline of Accounting.

The scholarships are valued up to $10,000.

Students are eligible for the awards when they have been successful in their admission to the Honours program under the specialisation of Accounting. No separate application is required. The scholarships are awarded on academic merit.

Robert R. Sterling Distinguished Honours Scholarship in Accounting

The scholarship established in perpetuity in 2008 from a generous donation from Mr. Robert R. Sterling and the University of Sydney Business School is intended to support academic study and investigation in the field of financial accounting.

Valued at a total $10,000, two instalments will be paid in the Recipient's honours year. Students are assessed for this award on their application to the Discipline of Accounting for admission into Accounting Honours. No separate application for this scholarship is required.

The Business School USSC Study Abroad Scholarship

The Business School USSC Study Abroad Scholarship is offered by the University of Sydney Business School and is intended to assist Business School students with their study abroad program offered through the United States Studies Centre in partnership with selected Universities.

The scholarships are valued at $2000 each and up to four scholarships will be awarded to students departing in the winter session.

The University of Sydney Business School Continuing Undergraduate Merit Scholarship

In 2014, the University of Sydney Business School is pleased to offer the Continuing Undergraduate Merit Scholarships to candidates of exceptional academic note.

All undergraduate students at the University of Sydney Business School in continuing study will have an opportunity to receive scholarship assistance and recognition, based on an outstanding academic performance in their University studies.

The University of Sydney Business School will award 12 scholarship places to continuing international and local, coursework or honours students. Students are eligible when they have completed at least one year of a full time coursework degree (48 credit points) in the academic year 2013, are top ranking and undertaking a standard full time enrolment load in a degree under the administration of the Business School; or honours year specializing in a business discipline in 2014.

The scholarships are valued at $6000 for one year.
No application is required.

The University of Sydney Business School Student Exchange Travel Scholarships 2014

The University of Sydney Business School is offering up to 50 scholarships to students participating in the University of Sydney Exchange Program in 2014.

Eligibility

The Travel Scholarships are offered to local and international, undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled with the University of Sydney Business School in one of the School's administered coursework programs and intending to study overseas through the University of Sydney exchange program.

Students should also be enrolled full-time and meeting degree requirements of their undergraduate or postgraduate award course during their exchange session. Students are required to meet the usual regulations that apply to the exchange program through the Exchange Unit, International Student Office.

Student Exchange Travel Scholarships Conditions of Award

The Student Exchange Travel Scholarships are valued at $2000 each. Up to 50 scholarships are available in 2014. Selection is based in academic merit (weighted average mark in coursework program). No application is required.



Westbrook and Jessie Anstice Honours Scholarship in Business

The scholarship established in 2009 by a joint donation from alumnus, David Anstice and the University of Sydney Business School is titled the 'Westbrook and Jessie Anstice Honours Scholarship in Business'.

The Scholarship is valued at $7,000 to be paid during the recipient's honours year. It is open to all students enrolling in an honours program under the administration of the Business School in 2014. Selection is based on the best thesis proposal complementing the theme of 'Innovation and Entrepreneurship - New Thinking and practice'.

The Westbrook and Jessie Anstice International Travel Scholarship

The Westbrook and Jessie Anstice International Travel Scholarship was established in 2009 by a joint donation from alumnus David Anstice and the University of Sydney Business School.

The Scholarship is valued at $5,000 to assist with travel expenses to an overseas seminar or conference to encourage students to advance learning of their own initiative in the areas of international business, innovation or entrepreneurship.

The scholarship is open to international and local, undergraduate coursework, undergraduate honours and postgraduate coursework students enrolled in a full time coursework program with the University of Sydney Business School at the time of the seminar or conference participation.
