New domestic & international students
2013 Card Collection for New Enrolments
The online photo portal has now closed. All cards that remain uncollected from the collection site are now located at the Campus Card Centre in the Margaret Telfer Building where they may be collected from 10am-4pm Monday to Friday.
If were not able to successfully upload a photo for your Student Campus Card after your enrolment, you may visit the Campus Card Centre to have a card produced.
The following documentation must be presented to collect your card:
1. One form of photographic identification:
- Driver licence
- Passport
- NSW Photo Card
2. Page 4 of the enrolment papers.

2013 Continuing Students
If you successfully re-enrolled for 2013, your Student Campus Card will be posted to your correspondence address.
Please ensure that your correspondence address is always up to date in MyUni. A replacement fee may apply for lost cards due to a late change of address.
2013 Continuing International Students
If you are a continuing international student and have a local Australian address your card will be mailed to your current correspondence address.
Please ensure that your correspondence address is always up to date in MyUni. A replacement fee may apply for lost cards due to a late change of address.
If you were not able to provide an Australian address your card will be available for collection at the Campus Card Centre in the Margaret Telfer Building.
Please bring your photo identification, such as passport or driver's licence, to successfully collect your card.
Remote/distance students
2013 Continuing Students
If you successfully re-enrolled for 2013, there is no need to submit an off-campus application.
Your Student Campus Card will be posted to your nominated correspondence address.
Please ensure that your correspondence address is always up to date in MyUni. A replacement fee may apply for lost cards due to a late change of address.
2013 New Enrolments
If you are enrolled as a distance student or you reside outside the Sydney metropolitan area, you can apply for a Student Campus Card by completing the Off-Campus Student Card application form. (Please note, students enrolling during the mid-year enrolment period at remote campus locations can also complete this form).
You will need to attach to the form:
- An endorsed passport sized photo
- A certified copy of your passport or driver licence or NSW Photo Card.
Certification can be done by:
- your faculty administrator,
- your course coordinator,
- a Justice of the Peace, or
- Notary Public
Send all requested documentation to:

Alternatively, you can arrange with your faculty to endorse the form and photo and send on your behalf. Student Campus Cards will not be processed if the application is incomplete or if the photo does not meet the passport photo standards.
If you wish to apply for travel concession please read the declaration carefully and only complete if you meet the eligibility criteria. Please send both application forms together for processing. Student Campus Cards will only be sent with a travel concession if applications are complete and you meet the eligibility requirements as determined by Transport NSW.
To apply for travel concession please complete the application form.
You must not obtain student concession travel if you do not comply with the eligibility conditions.
Providing false information or any breach of these conditions could render you liable for prosecution.
Offshore students
If you are studying offshore (overseas), you will need to complete the Off-Campus Student Card application form to obtain your Student Campus Card. Forms can be provided by your faculty administrator when you enrol or can be downloaded from this site.
You will need to attach to the form:
- An endorsed passport sized photo
- A certified copy of your passport or driver licence or NSW Photo Card.
Certification can be done by:
- your faculty administrator
- your course co-ordinator
- a Justice of the Peace, or
- Notary Public

I've varied my enrolment. What do I do?
You do not need to obtain a new Student Campus Card if you have either varied your enrolment or transferred to a different course. Domestic students are advised if your enrolment has changed from full-time to part-time, you will no longer be eligible for a travel concession. You must return your card for a free replacement without concession.
If you are a domestic student and your attendance has increased to full-time or if you are now a permanent resident of Australia and studying full-time, please visit the Campus Card Centre to apply for a travel concession, if eligible.
You will need to bring:
- Your existing Student Campus Card
- Photo identification (passport, driver licence or NSW Photo Card)
Travel concession
The Campus Card Centre acts as an agent on behalf of Transport NSW and is required to follow the eligibility criteria set by them when issuing travel concession. Further information and guidelines can be found at the Transport NSW website.
If you are entitled to a transport concession your signature on your student card indicates your agreement to abide by the conditions of use as published by the relevant transport authorities. For the conditions of use and eligibility requirements for travel concession please refer to the Transport NSW website.
You can apply for a travel concession in person at the Campus Card Centre.
You must submit a declaration each year to obtain a travel concession.
Students will need to enrol full-time for both semesters and meet the eligibility requirements to receive a Student Campus Card with a travel concession.
You must not obtain student concession travel if you do not comply with the eligibility conditions.
Providing false information or any breach of these conditions could render you liable for prosecution.
If you cease studies prior to the card expiry date, you must return your concession card to the issuing office immediately.
Note: On the 21st February 2013 The Minister for Transport announced changes to the eligibility criteria for tertiary student public transport concessions.
Check the Transport NSW website for the eligibility guidelines, and if you think you are now eligible for a travel concession please visit the Campus Card Centre.
Travel discounts for International Students
You can now purchase discounted MyMulti2 and MyMulti3 public transport tickets from the University. All discounted tickets can be used for travel to and from a place of study as well as recreational travel, providing savings of up to 35 percent.

Please note that it is not possible to purchase tickets directly from Transport for NSW ticket outlets or railway stations. The University of Sydney must order tickets on your behalf once we confirm you are an enrolled international student.

Once your payment is received and your request is sent to Transport for NSW, the University will confirm collection details and the start date of your ticket. Delivery of tickets may take up to 14 working days. The University of Sydney is not responsible for the late delivery of tickets due to delays at Transport for NSW.

Replacement Student Campus Cards and travel concessions
If your card is lost or stolen and you have activated the Visa prepaid payment functionality, contact ANZ Customer Service on 1800 773 720 immediately at which time a block will be placed on your card to prevent it from being used fraudulently.
If your Student Campus Card has been lost or stolen you can obtain a replacement from the Campus Card Centre. You will need to provide photo identification (passport, driver licence or NSW Photo Card). The cost of replacing your Student Campus Card is $25.
If you are a distance student who is unable to attend the Campus Card Centre in person, you may apply by submitting the following form, including all required documentation (please allow one week for processing).

Payment for the card may be made online. Online payments will be processed the next business day.
If you are eligible for a replacement travel concession, a form is available at the Campus Card Centre. The form must be endorsed by the Campus Card Centre and $27 is payable to the Passes & Concessions Office.

Damaged cards
If your card is damaged, you can have a new card issued by the Campus Card Centre on presentation of your old card. You will need to provide photo identification such as driver licence or passport. A fee of $25 may apply for replacement of a damaged card.
