PQA - Frequently Asked Questions

This page contains a number of frequently asked questions concerning the Personal Qualities Assessment (PQA) admissions component into the Bachelor of Oral Health.

Do I need to make a separate application to sit PQA?
Yes. Enrol online at this site

Applications MUST BE RECEIVED BY CLOSE OF BUSINESS 25th OCTOBER, 2013. LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

What is PQA?

Can I study for the PQA? Are there sample questions?
No, you cannot study for the PQA, but so you understand the type of questions you will be asked, example questions are available on the PQA website.

How much will it cost?
$75, inc GST. This amount is payable upon registration, prior to sitting the PQA.

Is there a fee reduction for Health Care card holders?
No.

Where do I sit PQA?
The PQA for students planning to commence the Bachelor of Oral Health in 2014 will be held at the University of Sydney Camperdown campus.

When do I sit PQA?
11th November 2013. Sitting times will be 10AM or 2PM.

Is this the only test date?
Yes.

Can I sit the test elsewhere?
No.

What do I bring to the test?
You will need to bring your letter of invitation (which will be issued by the PQA office on receipt of your application), photo ID (driving licence or passport), 2B pencils (for completing the test) and an eraser. There is no need to bring a calculator.

I am physically disabled, can special arrangements be made?
Yes, as long as sufficient notice is given.

If I'm sick on the day of the test, can I take it on another day?
Please contact the PQA Office direct on 4921 8688 if you are sick. You will be required to provide an authorized medical certificate and an alternate test date may be arranged.

If I get sick during the test, can I take it again later?
No.
