Biographical details

Adjunct Associate Professor Renee Bittoun has worked in smoking cessation for more than 30 years and is an inaugural member of the international Society for Research in Nicotine and Tobacco (SRNT). Renee is a respiratory physiologist by training and started one of the world's first Smokers' Clinics in Sydney, Australia in 1979 at St. Vincent's Hospital, Sydney. Currently she is Director of the Smokers' Clinics in the SW Sydney Area Health Service and Associate Professor, Head of the Smoking Research Program at the University of Sydney's Brain and Mind Research Institute (BMRI).
