Associate Professor Chris Roberts
Chris Roberts is Associate Professor in Primary Care and Medical Education based at Sydney Medical School – Northern, and located at Hornsby Ku-Ring-Gai Hospital. He has been a clinical educator for over 25 years at an undergraduate and postgraduate level. He currently teaches and innovates into stages 1, 2 and 3 of the Sydney Medical Program.
He has an international reputation as a medical educational researcher particularly in selection focused assessment. He has provided consultancy to a number of leading universities globally on curriculum reform, assessment and selection. He leads an active medical educational research group, including doctoral students. His research interests in medical education include assessment, professionalism and community engaged teaching and learning. He is a practicing general practitioner. His health related research interests are in complex interventions in primary and community care.
His previous University of Sydney educational roles have included Associate Academic Director of Education at the Charles Perkins Centre, Head of the Office of Postgraduate Medical Education, Associate Dean (Curriculum) for the University of Sydney Medical Program, and Chair of the Medical and Dental Admissions Committee.
