Step 2 - Check charges which may apply

  • Download the current scale of charges levied for room bookings (PDF).
  • The room booking fee is waived for members of the Hospital community conducting internal activities.
  • Check below to see applicable charges:

    Charges apply to:
  • Affiliated groups
    Organisations with clinical, academic or professional relationships with the internal users listed below, (e.g. Other clinical training organisations, Royal Colleges, Specialist societies etc.)
  • External users
    Commercial and community groups not encompassed by the above definitions.

    Room booking fee is waived for:
  • Internal users
    Members of the clinical, academic and admin staff of the Northern Sydney Central Coast Area Health Service conducting internal activities.
  • Northern Clinical School.
  • Kolling Institute and associated bodies such as fundraising foundations associated with the campus.

Video Conferences
The Northern Clinical School is part of the University of Sydney video conference network. Our video conference codecs are IP only - they do not support direct ISDN connections.

Please note that only the following Clinical School rooms support video conferences:
  • Auditorium
  • Norman Nock Lecture Room 1
  • Norman Nock Lecture Rooms 1 & 2 as one room
  • Kerry Goulston Seminar Room
  • Level 7 Boardroom
  • Tutorial Room 11
  • If you wish to book for a video conferenced meeting, Tutorial Room 11 is the best room for 1-4 people attending locally and the Level 7 Boardroom is best for 4-12 people attending locally.

    How do I book a video conference?

    1. Check that all the venues required are available and book them for the video conference.
    2. Fill out the videoconference booking form. This will book the video conference bridge (not the venues).
    Terms and Conditions
    1. Submission of this form is not a guarantee of a booking. For affiliated and external users, bookings are confirmed once payment has been received. Payment is required at least 10 days prior to the event date.
    2. Hirers are responsible for the set up and set down of rooms. The Clinical School is not able to provide labour for preparation of the room/area.
    3. No furniture is to be removed from the booked room(s).
    4. Hirers are liable for any damage caused and are liable for any repair costs.
    5. No food or drink is to be consumed in any of the lecture theatres or rooms. A cleaning fee of $200 will apply if the room/area is left in an unsatisfactory condition.
    6. All rubbish must be removed from the rooms and placed in bins provided. It is the responsibility of the room hirer to ensure no rubbish is left in the rooms or booked areas.
    7. The Foyer may only be used for catering if this area has been pre-booked.
    8. Public liability insurance is necessary for all external (non-NSCCAHS) functions.
    9. A cancellation fee (20% of full charge) is payable if the booking is cancelled less than 10 days prior to the function.

    Audio Visual Support

  • Please note that AV technical support is only available between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
  • There is no AV support available after those hours, on weekends or on public holidays.
  • If you require AV support for yur booking please log a job in advance via the helpdesk by calling 02 9351 6000, option #2
  • The AV Equipment Coordinator can be contacted on 992 64528 or via email.
  • Weekend Access


    To gain access to the Kolling Building on weekends please use the intercom located at the entrance to the building. Security man this intercom 24 hours a day. Announce your name and the event you are attending and security will open the doors.


    Catering

  • Please note, we do not organise or provide catering services. We do not supply cutlery or crockery. This must be taken into account when booking rooms.

  • For catering purposes there is a single large foyer area on Level 5 and a nearby small kitchen with a fridge, stove and hot water. These areas MUST be booked if you plan to use them.
