Education

Education is one of the main focuses of the Poche Centre for Indigenous Health. It is a part of every activity we undertake and informs that way we plan the future of the Centre. In order to develop a more sustainable model of care, education and student involvement are imperative.

The Poche Centre contributes by:

• supporting current staff and students across the health related schools and faculties
• working to increase health professionals' understanding of health issues and competency in health service delivery to meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
• Scholarships and professional development for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
