Learning and teaching environments
Our main learning and teaching facilities are at the Mallett Street Campus. They are located a short distance from the Camperdown Campus, where you have full access to university facilities and services.
Our clinical simulation labs are based at Mallett Street. Find out more about clinical simulation.
The majority of clinical placements take place within the Sydney metropolitan area, and we also encourage rural, interstate and international placements.
The Nursing Library is located at Mallett St Campus. It provides access to books, periodicals, audiovisual materials, databases and course readings. Find out more the nursing library.
Research centres and collaborations
Our Midwifery and Women's Health Research Unit, a joint ventured located at Royal Hospital for women, Randwick, is headed by Professor Sally Tracy.
The Cancer Research Nursing unit is located at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and is headed by Professor Kate White. It is a joint initiative between Sydney Nursing School and Sydney Local Health District.
In early 2015, we will be opening two new research centres; a Mental Health Unit at Vincent’s Private Hospital, and a Nursing and Midwifery Research Unit with Sydney Local Health District.
We are proud to collaborate with the Woolcock Institute, cardiovascular disease at the Charles Perkins Centre, the Rehabilitation Nursing Research and Development Unit at Royal Rehab, Ryde, and the Kolling Institute on cardiovascular health.
Our researchers also engage in collaborations across areas including dementia care, trauma care and Indigenous health.
