Awards and Medals
Pharmacy Alumni Achievement Awards
Do you know of someone who should be recognised for a Pharmacy Alumni Award for Achievement?
The Pharmacy Alumni Association is calling for nominations for it’s two Alumni Awards for achievement for pharmacy graduates. The two awards are the Pharmacy Alumni Award for Achievement and the Pharmacy Young Alumni Award for Achievement
Both awards cover community, international, voluntary and professional achievements by the nominee within or outside of the professional area.
Only pharmacy alumni (i.e. graduates of the University) may be nominated for these Awards. All nominations and supporting statements are confidential. The information provided will not be communicated to the nominee, unless the nominator so chooses.
Closing date for Faculty Award nominations is 27th April 2012.

University Awards - Convocation Medal
The Convocation Medal is awarded to an outstanding recent graduate who has contributed exceptionally to the life of the University and may have also contributed to the broader community, as well as achieving a high standard of academic proficiency.

Class of 1961 Reunion held on Thursday 29th September 2011. On the 29th September, 56 classmates reunited with each other 50 years after graduating with a certificate of Pharmacy in 1961 at the Faculty of Pharmacy Building. After hesitant moments of quickly checking name badges and shrieks of recognition, the group picked off where they left off on their graduation day. Volunteers from SUPA led them around the faculty building showing them the new labs and the old labs that one class mate commented “hadn't changed since they last visited them.” The classmates came together as they reminisced of the days when they too had donned the white coat and goggles before entering the rooms. The Dean would like to thank the class of 1961 for sharing morning tea with him and donating over $1500 to the faculty for future research and projects.
