Privacy and your application
All applications are treated as strictly confidential and in accordance with the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 and the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002.
As part of the recruitment process, the University will collect personal information such as your contact details, career history and qualifications. This information will be used by the University in assessing your application and, if you are successful in securing a role at the University, we may use your personal information for employment-related administrative purposes. We may also use your personal information for the purposes of providing you with details of future employment opportunities at the University, unless you notify us that you do not wish this to occur. The University may disclose your personal information to, and collect information from, your nominated referees and relevant organisations such as educational institutions, professional bodies and former employers for the purposes of assessing your application and verifying your qualifications, professional registrations and employment history. We will not disclose your personal information to other third parties without your consent.
Personal information held by the University will be stored and managed in accordance with our Privacy Management Plan.
