University of Sydney Scholar Chancellors Award

Madeline Greer

“The Scholarship enabled me to move from my home town, Dubbo, to study among a group of high-calibre students and learn from world-class lecturers. My faculty scholarships have also given me the opportunities to study abroad in two of the most exciting global cities – London and Shanghai – which has added depth and real-world international experience to my degree.”

The University of Sydney Scholar Chancellor's Award is awarded to students who demonstrate an outstanding performance in their Year 12 results, achieving an ATAR of 99.95 or above (or equivalent).

These scholarships are awarded automatically following the release of ATAR results in December, although you must be enrolling as a local student and have a University of Sydney course preference on your UAC application to be eligible.

The scholarship is worth $10,000 per year for the duration of your undergraduate degree (including combined undergraduate degrees). The scholarship can be deferred for up to two years.

As well as your scholarship you will receive priority access to accommodation near campus and leadership programs.

Continuation of your scholarship each year is dependent on your continued enrolment and maintaining an excellent academic record, with an average mark of at least 75, that is, at Distinction level.

New Zealand students applying through UAC for entry into university are eligible for this scholarship. International students are not eligible.
