Staying on Track

The University is committed to the welfare and wellbeing of students, and has developed appropriate policies and procedures to maintain this. In particular the University recognises the value of having a reliable and efficient system to monitor the progress of students in their studies, to allow the early detection of students who are making poor or unsatisfactory progress.

The occasional or infrequent failure of a unit of study by a student is not a cause for undue concern. Rather, the Staying on Track program is designed to identify and assist students who have demonstrated a persistent pattern of failure and are therefore at risk of exclusion from their award course.

Early detection of students in this category allows timely intervention, and the provision of advice and assistance to support students in their ongoing studies.
