For those receiving automatic offers, scholarship offer will be made within five working days of receiving an unconditional offer of admission.
If I am successful, when do I receive the funds?
The Business School International Scholarship will be paid into your fee account soon after the census date, and will reduce the amount payable on the next semester's fees by the value of the scholarship.
What if I don't have an Australian bank account?
You do not need to have an Australian bank account as the scholarship is paid into your fee account.
What happens if I apply for a Business School International Scholarship but do not have an unconditional offer yet?
Candidates must be an unconditional offer holder to be considered for automatic offer or be an unconditional offer holder by the relevant deadline for the each applicant round.
What happens if I do not accept the scholarship by the acceptance deadline?
Offers not accepted by the nominated deadline will lapse. If exceptional circumstances will prevent you accepting the offer by the deadline, you should request an extension outlining your circumstances and the extra time required.
How do I ensure that I remain eligible after receiving a Business School International Scholarship offer?
Applicants must complete the Acceptance of their Unconditional Offer by the relevant deadline associated with their scholarship offer round, and remain enrolled after census date.
How are Business School International Scholarship offer recipients selected?
The Business School International Scholarship is awarded based on a competitive process that takes into consideration academic merit (as assessed from a student’s application for program admission) for automatic consideration, and academic merit and the applicant’s statement of motivation for the applicant route.
Can I defer or suspend my studies and still receive a Business School International Scholarship?
No, the Business School International Scholarship is offered for the semester for which your unconditional offer has been made and cannot be deferred. If you defer your offer you will forego your Business School International Scholarship and will need to re-apply if you wish to be considered again.
Can I hold the Business School International Scholarship concurrently with other scholarships and awards?
While recipients can only hold the Business School International Scholarship once, this scholarship can be held concurrently with other University of Sydney scholarships, such as the Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarship, and with the University’s Sydney International Student Award. It can also be held concurrently with scholarships and awards offered by external parties. Special arrangements may be made for students who hold a full fee coverage scholarship offered by an external party.
