About this major
Human-Computer Interaction is a multidisciplinary field that aims to understand and shape the ways in which humans operate in technological environments. A key focus is on the design of new technologies in ways that take into account the contexts of their use, and maximise the quality and effectiveness of computing systems in meeting people’s needs.
The Human-Computer Interactions specialisation will support students to explore areas such as human foundations from psychology and physiology, Human-Computer Interaction methods for design and evaluation of interfaces, and leading-edge directions for technologies.
Please note: This specialisation is available from 2024 onwards.
Graduate opportunities
Upon graduation, you will have the skills and ability to apply your Human-Computer Interaction expertise in working with and guiding design teams in creating effective, usable, and intuitive experiences for computing applications in almost any sector.
