Specialisation

About this specialisation

The Social Policy specialisation will examine the relationship between governance and the distribution of welfare and wellbeing. The specialisation allows students to focus on policies that affect inequality, poverty, social exclusion and social cohesion and to develop social policy analysis, advocacy and research skills.

Social policy is presented as a contested process that involves public, private and non-government organisations, as well civil society. Core debates relating to social policy principles, social policy processes and social outcomes are explored.
