These resolutions must be read in conjunction with applicable University By-laws, Rules and policies including (but not limited to) the University of Sydney (Coursework) Rule 2014 (the 'Coursework Rule'), the Coursework Policy 2021 (the 'Coursework Policy'), the Learning and Teaching Policy 2019, the Resolutions of the Faculty, University of Sydney (Student Academic Appeals) Rule 2021, the Academic Integrity Policy 2022 and the Academic Integrity Procedures 2022. (1) Candidates must complete requirements full-time over two consecutive semesters.
(2) If the relevant delegate is satisfied that a student is unable to attempt the course on a full-time basis, they may permit the student to undertake it part-time over four consecutive semesters.
(1) To qualify for admission, a student must:
(a) have completed the requirements for a Bachelor of Media and Communications (or equivalent) including a major in the proposed honours subject area at the University of Sydney, or equivalent studies at another institution; and
(b) have a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of at least 70 or equivalent or a higher mark in the proposed honours subject area; and
(c) meet any other requirements for honours entry set by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
(1) The units of study that may be taken are set out in the Bachelor of Media and Communications (Honours) Table A.
(2) To qualify for the award of the Bachelor of Media and Communications (Honours), a candidate must successfully complete 48 credit points of honours units at 4000-level or above in the Honours subject area study.
(1) The Bachelor of Media and Communications (Honours) is awarded in classes ranging from First Class to Third Class as set out in the Coursework Policy and the Resolutions of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
