Sustainability on campus

Getting involved in sustainability efforts isn’t just good for the planet, it’s good for you too. Whether you’re keen to build valuable skills (great for the resume), ease your climate anxiety, or connect with other passionate students, there are opportunities to practice sustainability throughout your time at uni.

Check out our sustainability resources and initiatives and discover how you can make a difference while gaining experiences that will shape your future. Together, we can create a more sustainable university and a better world.

Our strategy

Did you know the University is on a mission to become a leader in environmental sustainability? Back in 2020, we launched an ambitious strategy to achieve targets across research and education, our footprint and governance, including Net Zero carbon emissions and eliminating waste to landfill by 2030. This strategy weaves sustainability into everything we do but it’s more than just a plan. It’s a call to action for every member of our community.
