Overview

The Faculty of Architecture, Design & Planning offers a Continuing Professional Development program of single Units of Study providing a valuable opportunity for professionals to update knowledge, enhance career pathways or explore a personal interest. These subjects are open to professionals with or without prior higher education in these fields. Please consult the Faculty Handbook for a full list of Units on offer across the Faculty including detailed unit descriptions, method of delivery (intensive/weekly lectures), program director, and semester offered. If you are considering further study it is also an opportunity to try a Unit of Study from a program to gauge its suitability. Some subjects are taught in intensive block-mode, condensing a whole semester into four to six days, making them easier to fit around work, family and other commitments, others are taught weekly. Participants are expected to complete the assessment work and if successfully completed, will be eligible to receive credit towards a future degree. CPD points for AIA, SBSE/EA and AIRAH members are available for most Units of Study. Units of study are chosen at enrolment time once an offer of a place has been offered and accepted it to the Faculty as a CPD student. Units completed as CPD can be credited towards Certificate, Diploma and Masters level courses in the Faculty should students wish to progress. To proceed to the full degree, applications should be made through Sydney Courses via the appropriate postgraduate course page. http://sydney.edu.au/courses/study_area/architecture-design-and-planning
