A diverse home to students from Australia and around the world

International House fosters a culture of understanding and friendship through our students from many different countries, cultures and customs. We offer secure on-campus accommodation with food, room-cleaning and free wi-fi.

So much more than a place to sleep

We are a fully-catered residential community operated by the University of Sydney. We are located on campus and provide many events and programs to support your studies. We offer free, unlimited wi-fi and short contract periods

Residential life

Life at International House is like a big, long-term exchange program. Breakfast could mean working on your French with a Parisian in the dining hall, lunch could be spent discussing international politics with a table of students from places you never knew existed.

Alumni and community

We have been home to thousands of University of Sydney students since 1967. Sydney University International House Alumni Association (SUIHAA) was established to maintain and foster the understanding and friendships shared by our residents.

International House welcomes 200 students from around the world, including Australia. We nurture a resident community of scholars who are committed to the value of international understanding and fellowship.
