Lucy Lester is enrolled in the LLM and is a recipient of the Ross Waite Parsons Scholarship.
“I am a solicitor at the Legal Aid Commission and I will complete the degree part-time over the next two years. This assistance significantly eased the stress I felt about paying for the degree. I am honoured to be the recipient of an award in the name of Professor Parsons. I understand that he had a brilliant legal mind and a passion for education, and I will endeavour to emulate some of Professor Parsons’ qualities in the next two years. I really cannot thank you enough" says Lucy.
Sydney Law School’s scholarships provide life-changing opportunities and aim to support both domestic and international students so that they can reach their full potential, achieve their career goals, and follow their passions. John O'Brien Memorial Coursework Scholarships: A postgraduate coursework scholarship for students studying criminal law and criminology.
Ross Waite Parsons Postgraduate Coursework Law Scholarship: For high academic achievers with an unconditional offer of admission for a masters by coursework program at the Sydney Law School.
Ivan Roberts Scholarship: $50,000 scholarships to support Sydney Law School students to continue into postgraduate study.
Without the scholarship, I would have been unable to pursue further study in jurisprudence and the philosophy of law, which has always been a great passion of mine – and certainly I would have been unable to have such a singular focus on my studies, which was reflected in my results.
