Julia Kindt is Professor in the Department of Classics and Ancient History at the University of Sydney and a ARC Future Fellow (2018-22). Her research interests include ancient Greek history (from the Archaic period through to Roman Greece), ancient Greek religion and the interdisciplinary study of religions, ancient anthropology and human/animal relations, historiography (ancient and modern) as well as Herodotus. She is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Ancient History, Sydney University Press and a Senior Editor of the Oxford Research Encyclopaedia of Religion (ORE).
