No separate application is required. Eligible students who have secured an unconditional offer of admission will be automatically considered.

Benefits

This scholarship is valued at:

  • $9,000 for students commencing full-time studies (18 or more credit points)
  • $4,500 for students commencing part-time studies (12 credit points)
  • $2,250 for students commencing part-time studies (6 credit points)

This scholarship is tenable for one semester only.

This Scholarship was established in 2023 to encourage lifelong learning and skill development among domestic students.

This Scholarship is awarded to commencing domestic, full fee-paying students enrolling in a pre-experience postgraduate coursework degree within the University of Sydney Business School.

1. Background

a. This Scholarship was established in 2023 to encourage lifelong learning and skill development among domestic students.

b. This Scholarship is awarded to commencing domestic, full fee-paying students enrolling in a pre-experience postgraduate coursework degree within the University of Sydney Business School.

2. Eligibility

a. To be considered eligible for this Scholarship, applicants must be a domestic full fee-paying domestic student.

b. The Scholarship is offered subject to the applicant having an unconditional offer of admission in a pre-experience postgraduate coursework degree (excluding MBA, MBA Leadership and Enterprise, and Executive MBA) within the University of Sydney Business School at the University of Sydney.
3. Selection Criteria

a. The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit.

b. The Scholarship will be awarded by at least two members of the Business School staff, or their nominated delegates.

4. Value

a. For recipients commencing full-time studies (18 or more credit points), the Scholarship is valued at $9,000 and is tenable for one semester only.

b. For recipients commencing part-time studies (12 credit points), the Scholarship is valued at $4,500 and is tenable for one semester only.

c. For recipients commencing part-time studies (6 credit points), the Scholarship is valued at $2,250 and is tenable for one semester only.

d. The Scholarship value will be paid after the census date of semester 2.

e. Deferral of the Scholarship is not permitted. This Scholarship is not transferable to another University school, faculty or university.

f. The Scholarship will be offered subject to the availability of funds.

g. No other amount is payable.

5. Termination

a. The Scholarship will be terminated if the recipient:

I. withdraws from an eligible course or fails to enrol,
II. does not remain enrol in a minimum of 6 credit points of study in the awarded semester,
III. becomes a recipient of a Commonwealth Supported Place for their eligible degree,
IV. is determined by the University to be guilty of serious misconduct, including, but not limited to, having provided false or misleading information as part of their Scholarship application,
V. accepts an alternative scholarship, administered by the University of Sydney, valued at $8,000 per annum or more for the same purpose as this Scholarship, or
VI. does not resume study at the end of a period of approved leave.

b. Once the Scholarship has been terminated, it will not be reinstated unless due to University error.

c. Where a student is found guilty of serious misconduct or the Scholarship is terminated under any instance in the Termination Clause of these terms and conditions, the University reserves the right to request that any Scholarship funds paid to the Scholarship recipient be reimbursed.
