Higher Degree by Research scholarship
The Research Training Program (RTP) scholarships and equivalent university scholarships provide financial support to domestic and international postgraduate research students.

You must:

  • be a commencing or enrolled domestic or international higher degree by research student,
  •  have an outstanding record of academic achievement and previous research experience.

  • Those awarded with a USYDIS will automatically be awarded this scholarship

How to apply

To be considered for a RTP scholarship and equivalent University scholarships, you must:

  • Commencing Students
  1. Apply for admission and submit all required documentation for admission to a higher degree by research through Sydney Courses by the deadlines outlined in the Application and Award Timeline tables below, and
  2.  Submit the scholarship application form by the deadlines outlined in the Application and Award Timeline tables below.
  • Currently Enrolled Students
  1. Be currently enrolled in a higher degree by research, and 
  2. Submit the scholarship application form  by the deadlines outlined in the Application and Award Timeline tables below.
