Certificate of graduate status

If you’ve already attended a graduation ceremony you can obtain a certificate of graduate status. This statement lists your name, degree(s) name and graduation date(s), but not your units of study.

It is printed on official stationery and is not the same as your degree certificate (testamur). It can be used to confirm completion of your qualification.

How to order a certificate of graduate status

Your certificate of graduate status is available from two business days after you've graduated. You can order a hard-copy certificate of graduate status either online or in-person at the Student Centre. Electronic copies cannot be issued.

Order online

If you would like to order online you can submit an online Certificate of graduate status request form and we will send you your certificate by post.

You need to attach a copy of personal photo identification with your signature visible, as it appears on a legitimate form of personal identification (such as your driver’s licence or passport). Your request will not be processed if this is not included. Local library cards, Medicare cards, or birth certificates are not accepted.

At the Student Centre

You can order a certificate of graduate status over the counter at our Student Centre. This can usually be produced while you wait.

Make sure you bring photo ID with you.

If you require any documents to be sent to a third party (such as a Registration Board or University), or you need a certificate of graduate status from an amalgamated college or your candidature was pre-1981 you will need to order online.

Payment and processing times

If you order online, once you have submitted your request we will verify the information provided and email you with an invoice and payment instructions. Payments can be made by credit card, BPAY or cheque and are charged in Australian dollars.

Payments at the Student Centre can only be made by credit or debit card.

The payment will be non-refundable if your certificate of graduate status has been printed.

If you’re requesting a certificate of graduate status from amalgamated colleges or pre-1981, you should allow 15 business days for your request to be processed, plus postage time.

Due to technical issues, we can't send invoices and payment instructions to @yahoo and @bigpond email addresses.

Receiving your documents

Once we’ve received payment we will process your certificate of graduate status.

Your documents can be posted directly to you and/or to a third party (such as a Registration Board or University). If required, certificate of graduate status can be sealed in stamped envelopes (please indicate this in the ‘further information’ section).

A maximum of 10 delivery addresses can be nominated per order. If you require additional delivery addresses, please submit another order.
