Child care

Occasional care

If you only have a few contact hours a week at the University, you may be looking for a more flexible, one-off or short-term option.

Occasional care provides intermittent care for children aged 0–5 years. Unlike long day care, children don’t need to be enrolled for particular days each week. Occasional care can be used on a flexible basis, for example while you study in the library, attend an appointment, or if you need respite care.

Occasional care centres are subject to licensing regulations including health and safety requirements. If you are using this service for work or study purposes you may also be eligible for the Child Care Benefit.

Occasional care centres

There are no occasional care centres on campus or affiliated with the University, however there are several close by.

Contact the centres directly for further information.
