Extended Bachelor's Programs

This dedicated admission pathway for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students includes an additional foundation year of study, additional support and a yearly scholarship.

Benefits

Our extended degrees include an additional foundation year of study with culturally relevant literacy and mathematics studies. This extra study will equip you with communication, critical and analytical skills that will help prepare you for university studies.

All of our Indigenous students also have access to a range of additional support.

Eligibility

This pathway is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who can demonstrate potential for tertiary study to a standard sufficient to undertake the course, as defined in the admission criteria in the available courses below.

How to apply

1. Apply through UAC

2. Complete the Gadigal Program application

  • When applying, ensure you self-identify as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student.
  • Put one of the available extended degrees as one of your UAC preferences, if you meet the eligibility criteria, you will get a Gadigal Program alert on the UAC home page.
  • Complete the additional Gadigal Program application form in UAC.

3. Complete the additional assessment

  • Complete the assessment emailed to you from our Indigenous recruitment team and submit it by the required date.
  • Eligible students will be contacted for an interview.
