This unit examines the relationship between communication and social change in the contemporary Greater China region. Students will study the use and implications of communication at key historical moments and major current events in these societies, as well as the impact of macro changes on communication. It introduces concepts of media and communication, and theories that examine the relationship between communication, development, and social change.
