2025 unit information

This unit aims to provide students at the postgraduate level details of evidence-based information on implant surgery - prosthodontics and clinical decision-making. The student will learn to search and critically appraise the literature on a topic related to implant surgery - prosthodontics. The student will also develop the ability to present implant related topics to an audience.

At the completion of this unit, you should be able to:

  • LO3. critically appraise the available literature
  • LO4. critically analyse the literature using PICO analysis
  • LO5. demonstrate knowledge regarding a specific implant surgery
  • LO6. present a topic to an audience
  • LO7. demonstrate a clear, well constructed and logical presentation of a topic
  • LO8. summarise text, photos and diagrams to a well constructed on-screen presentation.
