This unit covers in detail the inter-disciplinary nature of diagnosis and treatment of children with special needs and complex medical conditions. The students will become proficient in the management of children with many conditions, including congenital cardiac disease, haematological disorders, immunodeficiencies, malignancies, endocrinopathies, respiratory diseases and neurological disease. They will also develop the knowledge and skills to provide high quality care to children with intellectual and physical disabilities.
