This unit follows on from the unit dental anomalies and genetics 1. The aim of this unit is to develop a deeper knowledge of medical syndromes, genetic disorders and craniofacial anomalies and their impact on general and craniofacial growth and development. The students will learn more about the interdisciplinary management of major craniofacial syndromes and clefts of the head and neck, including the appropriate timing of treatment and the use of implant prostheses.
