At the completion of this unit, you should be able to:

  • LO1. identify and describe the position, special features, relations, blood supply, nerve supply, lymphatic drainage, embryogenesis and surface markings of the major and minor salivary glands, oro-facial muscles, temporomandibular joint, and oro-facial nerves
  • LO2. identify and describe the general and specialised features and embryogenesis of the oral mucosa and supporting oro-facial tissues
  • LO3. identify and describe the general and specialised features and embryogenesis of the teeth
  • LO4. identify and describe the general and specialised features and embryogenesis of the paranasal sinuses and nose.
