This unit continues the advanced didactic training at the postgraduate level in advanced restorative dentistry, fixed and removable prosthodontics including implant dentistry. The didactic programme compliments the clinical training and activities with evidence-based information. Active participation in regular journal clubs, seminars and workshops which are held to critically evaluate the current literature and gain the theoretical background required. The first year focus is on aetiology and multidisciplinary diagnosis of dental disease as well as comprehensive treatment planning and sequencing with holistic patient centred management. Students may be required to attend classes at multiple locations.
