This unit is designed to support the development of your research proposal and your thesis plan. You will participate in an ’orientation’ seminar, and make presentations to two Research-in-Progress seminars at which you will are also expected to provide feedback on other student presentations. The objective of the first Research-in-Progress seminar is for you to take stock of progress, and gain some clarity about the likely substance, structure and focus of your thesis. The second Research-in-Progress seminar presentations report progress, and how research problems arising will be addressed. These activities supplement your student-supervisor discussions and thesis writing.
