At the completion of this unit, you should be able to:

  • LO1. understand the structure and significance of the Australian financial services sector
  • LO2. analyse the role of major financial institutions, including banks, payment providers, superannuation, and other institutions
  • LO3. examine the policy and regulatory environment and its impact on industry practices
  • LO4. assess the forces shaping the industry such as consumer trust, competition, sustainability, and technological disruption
  • LO5. develop critical-thinking skills and create solutions to real-world challenges in the financial services industry.
