ENGG3801: Industry and Community Project

2025 unit information

This unit provides students with the opportunity to address complex problems identified by industry, community, and government organisations. With mentorship from a major industry partner and an academic lead, students integrate their academic skills and knowledge by working in diverse teams across disciplinary boundaries. Students research, analyse and present solutions to a real-world problem, and build on their interpersonal and transferable skills by engaging with and learning from experts in the field. This unit is for students in the Humanitarian Engineering specialisation who wish to undertake an ICPU related to their specialisation such as Service Learning in Indigenous Communities. See the ICPU website for further information here: https://www.sydney.edu.au/students/industry-and-community-projects.html.
