This unit considers several dimensions of international security. In the first part it explores what is meant by ‘International Security’ and discusses several classic texts to begin to understand the causes of war and the conditions of peace. In the second part it focuses on specific security areas, such as Humanitarian Intervention, Environmental Security, Cybersecurity and Interstellar Security. Current International Security events will also be addressed.
